No OSC Left Behind

No OSC Left Behind

We have deemed September No OSC Left Behindmonth.

As an online sales specialist, your job is going to get harder. You are the front door of your organization, and you have to be strong and prepared for what's to come.

So it’s time for a reset.

For the month of September, we're going to focus on three things that make up No OSC Left Behind.

  1. Your skills.
  2. Your goals - both work and personal.
  3. Your self-image.

Your Skills

First, take this skills assessment. Whether you're a new online sales specialist, an OG, or somewhere in the middle, you should start with this assessment. Honestly evaluate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10; 1 - you should be fired, 10 - you’re a superstar.

Don't grade on a curve. Honestly evaluate.

Your Goals

Make a list of any of those skills on the assessment that you rated yourself a seven or below. Then, write down how you are going to improve in that area. Be as specific as possible- SMART goal approach.

For example, if you need to improve your outbound calls. Write down exactly what you’re going to do to accomplish this, such as: I'm going to make 20 outbound calls a day to my Happy Acres VIP list each day for 1 hour, M-F for the next 30 days.

Don’t forget to be specific and to write it down

Your Image

It’s time for some tough love, but I wouldn't say anything if I didn't care about your personal success. If you’ve been working from home, it’s easy to get complacent, and we've been getting slack on how we're rolling into work. I’m using the term rolling into work because some of us look like we’re rolling out of our beds into work.

If you were a new home sales professional working onsite, would you go into work looking like that? I hope not. We must be prepared to be on video email and to get out on site more, so we have to work on our image.

Here's your challenge; dig yourself out of that rut. Start each day with purpose and intention. Get up, do your hair, do your makeup, and have fun with your work-from-home outfit each day. Meaning, professional from the waist up! If you're going into an office, dress like the professional that you are. Dress how you want to be addressed.

Remember that when we look good, we feel good.

Are you in or are you out? Do you have the grit to get prepared for what our wonderful industry is going to bring to us next? I know you do, so let's do it. We're in this together, and we're going to be cheering you on.

No OSC Left Behind. Let's go!
