Lead Generation Video Interview – Part 3
The 3rd and final instalment of the Weichert Lead Generation video.
The previous videos from Trulia discussed WLN’s incredible impact on quality, speed, and numbers of responses to consumer queries and their 5-Prong Marketing Strategy, in this video we are able to see the actual working environment where WLN implements this process.
Selecting the right website designer
Is your website a digital dinosaur? Maybe you are just getting started. Or, you might have a decent website, but you need to take it to the next level – from good to great. Maybe you are at the top of your game, but want to implement some new ideas to increase traffic. No matter where you are, you need a well-qualified website design company to manage the aspects of the site that you can’t.
Take note of these two important tips for selecting your new “best friend”:
- Do not make the mistake of choosing the “cheapest” option. As I’m sure you know, this is one area in which you “get what you pay for.” Usually, companies that offer a drastically lower price will either not be able to produce the results you are looking for or will not be able to support your site as it grows and changes.
- Web design companies are a dime a dozen. They range from guys working out of their garages in the evening to highly specialized companies employing several employees. The selection process will take some time and there are many fine companies from which to choose. No matter which one you select, make sure it has an extensive portfolio in the homebuilding industry.
You can narrow down your choices of web design companies simply by asking to see their work. Once they show you their portfolio, you’ll be able to make an informed selection. Call some of their clients (not just the ones they tell you to call) and ask for their honest opinions. Look for multiple good references and sites that encompass everything you need.
Through the research I have done, there are a few industry leaders that stand out and have large portfolios of homebuilder websites and online tools. They are:
I’m sure there are other fine companies out there. Just take the time to interview multiple companies and compare the benefits of each one.
What is the best time to call leads?
This is a common question from OSC’s and many have ideas of what they feel like is the best time to make return calls. However, so far I have not seen any factual data to provide a specific response. I had an idea that the afternoon was better – but not an exact time.
Well, a recent Marketing Sherpa study gives the following answers. These numbers are from a call center that followed up with web leads for B-to-B sales. Not quite a home, but bigger ticket items with decision makers.
- The time during the day that had the highest contact rate was 3:00 to 6:00 PM
- Calls should be made within 24 hours
- Calls made on Fridays had the best contact rates
Of course, you should respond as soon as possible to any lead. However, the times mentioned above would be good to keep in mind on the follow up calls you make after you left your first voicemail a day or 2 before.
